Pay Now Travel Later….. Scams Galore!
Stern warning from tourism industry leaders, for many such scams abound all over the world. Mostly, these scams have the irresistible offer of “Pay Now – Travel Later” which for the normal guy would seem as a good investment. These ploys work normally to victimize unsuspecting people with the use of pressure selling tactics that gives one no escape, take it or lose the chance forever. They sometimes go with seemingly out-of-this world offers, one is hooked right on. First, the travel industry though it does not have a global governing body, observe specific rules that are agreed upon with regular meetings with people from the industry. Next, the old adage that says, “If it sounds too good to be true, it is” so be on the lookout for such offers. Booking trips with such offers is a pain for any who require two-week advance notice are to be avoided. Scams abound and with the tourism industry already in a slump, the more these criminals take the cause to make a buck at your expense. Check with local tourism boards or government agencies concerned if you suspect that you’ve been scammed. It might not get you your money back, but it may save other people the trouble you’ve been through.
